Judge Ross A. Carkeet, Sr. Memorial

By the family in memory of Judge Ross A. Carkeet, Sr., Tuolumne County Superior Court Judge from 1956-1974, who demonstrated an active interest in youth & education by serving for many years on the Advisory Boards of CSU, Stanislaus and Columbia College, it is the intent of this scholarship to provide financial assistance to a college transfer student majoring in Political Science, History, Education, Law Enforcement, or a Law related field. CRITERIA: Must be enrolled in Columbia College full-time in current term; plans to transfer to 4-year college or university in the Fall; GPA 2.0; majoring in Political Science, History, Education, Law Enforcement, or a Law related field; demonstrates financial need; participation in extracurricular activities at Columbia College and written statement from student describing long term goals required. Personal interview required.
