Sonora Lions Club, Les Coon Vocational Scholarships

It is the intention of this scholarship to award students who are working towards certificates or associate degrees in any of the Columbia College vocational programs with the goal of upgrading their skills and/or pursuing employment in the area. Preference is given to older students with special circumstances, i.e., single parents, welfare recipients, or under-employed persons. CRITERIA: Must have graduated from a Tuolumne County high school or have lived in Tuolumne County at least 5-years; must have been enrolled in the previous term; must be enrolled in at least 9 units during the current term; plan to return to Columbia College in the Fall; GPA 2.5; majoring in any vocational program; must show financial need.
