John Christopher Rogers Memorial Award

By the family of John Christopher Rogers, it is the intent of this scholarship to award a student who demonstrates an interest in and an aptitude for a vocational subject and who earns average grades. Preference given to a student who has not already been awarded significant scholarship monies, and who has not completed more than 50 units. CRITERIA: Preference for a full-time student during the current term; plan to return to Columbia College as a full-time student in the Fall; GPA 1.8-3.0, calculated at the end of Fall semester; majoring in Vocational area (Business and trades); shows financial need, preference for diversity and students who are overcoming trauma. Must have earned a minimum of 20 units by the end of the current year, 6 of which are in major, and at least 12 units from Columbia College; one recommendation from vocational faculty in major required. Brief handwriting sample may be required.
