Omega Nu, Alpha Iota Chapter, Child Development Lolita Griffith Memorial

It is the intent of this scholarship to assist a student pursuing a certificate, AA, or BA in Child Development who demonstrates a desire to work with young children in an organized setting, with preference given to someone who has practical experience in the field. CRITERIA: Must be a YCCD resident; must have been enrolled at least half-time last semester; must be enrolled at least half-time during current semester; plan to return to Columbia College or transfer to a 4-year college in the Fall; GPA 3.0; majoring in Child Development; must show financial need; preference given to number of Child Development courses taken; must have completed 15 units by end of academic year; interview required; one of recommendations must be from Child Development instructor.
