Sonora Lions Club, Les Coon Vocational Scholarships

It is the intention of this scholarship to award 4 students who are working towards certificates or associate degrees in any of the Columbia College vocational programs with the goal of upgrading their skills and/or pursuing employment in the area. Preference is given to older students with special circumstances, i.e., single parents, welfare recipients, or under-employed persons. CRITERIA: Must have graduated from a Tuolumne County high school or have lived in Tuolumne County at least 5-years; must have been enrolled in the previous term; must be enrolled in at least 9 units during the current term; plan to return to Columbia College in the Fall; GPA 2.5; majoring in any vocational program; must show financial need.
